SF Gateway Expands
We are delighted to announce the addition of some of the world’s finest SF & Fantasy authors to Gateway!
As some of you may know, Gateway’s parent company is the Orion Publishing Group. Orion is, in turn, owned by the Hachette UK Group, which also owns Little, Brown, Hodder & Stoughton and Headline publishers, among others. Little, Brown is home to one of the UK’s major SFF imprints, our friends at Orbit, who publish such genre heavyweights as Iain M. Banks, Terry Brooks, David Gemmell, Robert Jordan and Elizabeth Moon – again, among others. Hodder & Stoughton and Headline are also home to some hugely respected writers of the fantastic, such as Jean M. Auel, Ben Bova and Jack McDevitt, and share Robert A. Heinlein and Harry Turtledove with SF Gateway.
You can probably see where we’re going with this . . .
In our ongoing efforts to make Gateway the ultimate source of classic SF and Fantasy, we are delighted to welcome our colleagues’ authors to the site! Your friendly neighbourhood Gateway now contains:
Jean M. Auel
Iain M. Banks
Ben Bova
David Brin
Terry Brooks
Orson Scott Card
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Celia Friedman
David Gemmell
Tom Holt
Robert Jordan
Richard Laymon
Ken MacLeod
Gregory Maguire
Jack McDevitt
Elizabeth Moon
And as well as adding these wonderful authors to the list, this expansion has also allowed us to fill some major gaps in our existing Gateway authors’ oeuvres – adding 2001: A Space Odyssey to Arthur C. Clarke‘s page, The Left Hand of Darkness to Ursula K. Le Guin‘s and some seminal works to our Robert A. Heinlein page – including Hugo-winners Starship Troopers, Stranger in a Strange Land and The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.
For our regular visitors, we hope this adds to your reading pleasure, and to our new authors: welcome . . . to the Gateway.
